Our Experience: Bioremediation Projects

At Flinders Bioremediation, we are committed to developing innovative and cost-effective bioremediation processes for cleaning up contaminated soil and groundwater. We have managed the technical aspects of several major site remediation projects in South Australia, including an old railway refueling yard and a wood treatment plant. We have successfully remediated contaminated soil resulting from diesel tanker spills and leaking underground fuel storage tanks. Other projects have involved the remediation of soil containing TPH, BTEX, PAH, PCB and PCP. We have also conducted site assessments, lab and pilot scale feasibility studies and full scale bioremediation.

  • Bioremediation feasibility trials for diesel-contaminated soil
  • Bioreactor bioremediation options for PAH and PCB impacted soils
  • Landfarming of oily sludges at a major oil and gas facility
  • Composting of pentachlorophenol contaminated soil
  • Lab scale bioremediation trial of oil and PCB contaminated soil
  • Site evaluation of leaking underground storage tanks
  • Co-composting for remediation of PAH-contaminated soils
  • Biodegradation for a shale-oil processing facility
  • Remediation of PCP contaminated soil
  • Remediation of diesel contaminated soil at an old railyard site
  • Feasibility studies for the treatment of oil sludge from the Middle East
